SMS & Messaging Terms

By opting in to Pipelyn Alerts, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Pipelyn at the phone number you provide. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase or use of the platform. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELPor email support@pipelyn.com. These terms supplement our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
The program
Pipelyn Alerts is a text-message notification program operated by Pipelyn, Inc. and delivered through Twilio, our messaging infrastructure provider. The program sends time-sensitive notifications related to property management operations — including work-order updates, scheduling confirmations, account alerts, and optional marketing communications.
These SMS & Messaging Terms supplement and are incorporated into the Pipelyn Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in those documents. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the Terms & Conditions regarding text messaging, these terms control.
Message types
Pipelyn Alerts may include the following types of text messages:
- Transactional messages. Real-time notifications about work orders, job scheduling, technician dispatch, approval requests, estimate responses, and other time-sensitive operational updates. These messages are directly related to actions taken on the platform.
- Account & security messages. Verification codes, password-reset links, two-factor authentication prompts, login alerts, and other messages necessary to secure your account and verify your identity.
- Optional marketing messages. Occasional messages about new Pipelyn features, product updates, tips, and promotions. You may separately opt in to or opt out of marketing messages without affecting your receipt of transactional or security messages.
How you opt in
You may opt in to receive text messages from Pipelyn in any of the following ways:
- Account settings. Enabling text notifications in your Pipelyn account notification preferences.
- Sign-up checkbox. Checking the opt-in box during account registration or when adding a phone number to your profile.
- Keyword text. Texting a designated keyword (such as START or JOIN) to the Pipelyn messaging number.
- Verbal or written consent. Providing consent verbally or in writing to a Pipelyn team member, such as during onboarding or a support call.
By opting in, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the phone number you provide and that you are authorized to receive text messages at that number.
If you add another person’s phone number to your account (for example, a technician’s or building contact’s number), you represent that you have obtained that person’s prior consent to receive automated text messages from Pipelyn at that number.
How to opt out
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any Pipelyn message. You will receive a single confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent to that number unless you opt in again.
You can also manage your messaging preferences in your Pipelyn account settings, where you can toggle individual message categories on or off or remove your phone number entirely.
For additional help, email support@pipelyn.comwith the subject line “SMS Help” and include the phone number in question. We will respond within one business day.
Frequency & cost
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Users with active work orders, upcoming jobs, or pending approvals may receive multiple messages per day. Users with less activity may receive messages only occasionally. Marketing messages, if enabled, are typically sent no more than a few times per month.
Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages sent and received through Pipelyn Alerts. Pipelyn does not charge separately for text messages — any charges you incur are between you and your carrier. Check your mobile plan or contact your carrier for details about your messaging rates.
Carriers & delivery
Pipelyn Alerts is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional and prepaid carriers. Carrier support is subject to change. Not all carriers guarantee delivery of every message type.
Pipelyn and its messaging provider, Twilio, are not liable for delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including carrier network conditions, device settings, phone number portability, and regional regulations.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and the capabilities of your device. Pipelyn makes commercially reasonable efforts to deliver messages promptly but cannot guarantee delivery times or successful delivery in all circumstances.
Privacy & data
Phone numbers and messaging data collected through Pipelyn Alerts are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our messaging infrastructure provider, Twilio, processes this data under a data processing agreement (DPA) that limits Twilio’s use of the data to delivering messages on our behalf and maintaining its service.
Your phone number and messaging opt-in status are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We use your phone number solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive and to maintain records of your consent and preferences as required by applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS & Messaging Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes — such as introducing new message categories or changing the opt-out process — we will notify you by text message or through the platform before the changes take effect.
Your continued participation in Pipelyn Alerts after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to a change, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
